American Express Middle East launches UAE's first Credit Card with ID Keeper

The launch is part of a regional campaign introducing American Express Middle East's first chip-enabled Smart Credit Card to the region. The new Gold Credit Card is designed for people who seek premium lifestyle experiences, exceptional service, financial flexibility, and peace of mind.

The new Gold Credit Card is a Smart Credit Card with an embedded Chip featuring 'ID Keeper'. ID Keeper is an innovative application on the Card's Chip which allows Cardmembers to securely store their favourite website addresses, personal details, passwords, user names and auto-fill online shopping order forms. This enables Cardmembers to shop online more securely, swiftly and conveniently.

Gold Credit Cardmembers are automatically enrolled in the global award winning Membership Rewards® programme, enabling them to accumulate Membership Rewards points with every purchase they make using their American Express® Gold Credit Card. Membership Rewards points, which do not expire, can be redeemed for free flights at leading airlines such as Gulf Air, Qatar Airways, Royal Jordanian, Egypt Air, Cathay Pacific and Swiss Air. Points can also be redeemed for hotel nights at a range of worldwide and regional properties such as Starwood, Hilton, Jumeirah, Burj Al Arab, Habtoor, Gulf Hotel, Le Meridien, Intercontinental, Rotana and many others. Cardmembers can also enjoy free car rentals and shopping vouchers from the most prestigious jewelry, fashion and retail brands in the region. The new Gold Credit Card enables Cardmembers to live out their dreams with unprecedented lifestyle benefits including Airport Lounge Access whereby Cardmembers and one companion can gain complimentary access to airport lounges across the Middle East, regardless of their airline or class of travel, simply by presenting their Gold Credit Card. Cardmembers also enjoy the exclusive International Airline Programme, providing them with upgrades or free tickets on a number of airlines in the region when they purchase their tickets with their Gold Credit Card.

The Card also provides Retail Protection Insurance, protecting Cardmembers purchases against theft or accidental damage for up to 90 days.
