DXB sees 14% rise

Dubai International Airport had 24.7m passengers pass through its terminals in 2005, 14% more than in 2004. Cargo movements were up by 20% to 1.3m tonnes. Department of Civil Aviation President Sheikh Ahmed bin Saeed Al Maktoum says a throughput of 28m passengers and 1.5m million tonnes of freight is expected at the airport in 2006.
