Over 100 brands from 12 countries will be showcased at WoodWorking Middle East, the region's first consolidated display of WoodWorking Machinery.

The three-day event, commencing at Expo Centre Sharjah on January 22, 2006, will witness 30 leading companies representing some of the most sought after brands in the global woodworking industry on single trade platform.

'WoodWorking Middle East will see a number of leading names in the global woodworking business exhibiting at the show,' said Mr. Fasahat Ali Khan, Acting Director General, Expo Centre Sharjah.

'The show will feature the full requirements of a joinery from wood/panels to consumables, machinery, coatings and all accessories required for the woodworking industry. With such wide ranging but focused participation from leading companies and brands in the industry, the event undoubtedly can claim to be a one-stop platform aimed at meeting the A-Z requirements of the Middle East woodworking industry,'

Among the countries from which a majority of the brands to be displayed at the show originate are Australia, Austria, Bahrain, Canada, China, Germany, India, Italy, Oman, Portugal, Taiwan (ROC), and USA, besides the UAE.

A major attraction on display at WoodWorking Middle East will be woodworking machinery, tools & equipment, consumables and furniture accessories including the entire range of veneers, plywood, laminates, glues, lacquers, fittings, accessories and supplies for woodworking machineries and consumables.

As far as woodworking machinery is concerned, machinery particularly from Germany, India, Italy, Taiwan (ROC), and USA, are expected to solicit several serious buyers from the region.

Other notable exhibits will cover wood, particularly African timber, American hardwood, European lumber, Far-East timber, and Indian wood.

Plywood, boards and panels from South Eat Asia, India and Europe are also expected to catch considerable attention.

Categories of visitors to WoodWorking Middle East will include carpenters, joinery managers, furniture manufacturers, kitchen equipment manufacturers, shop fitting specialists, fenestration manufacturers, exhibition stand contractors, carpentry shop managers of construction companies, architects, general managers, procurement managers, estimators, and planning and design managers from the regional woodworking industry.

A majority of the visitors to the event are expected to be from the MENA region as well as from the Indian sub-continent and CIS countries.

WoodWorking Middle East is being organised by Expo Centre Sharjah with the support of the Sharjah Chamber of Commerce and Industry (SCCI).
