BBK donates BD50,000 to BDF Royal Medical Services Sector
- Bahrain: Wednesday, January 18 - 2006 at 10:14
- PRESS RELEASE
BBK has recently visited the Bahrain Defence Force Royal Medical Service at the Military Hospital, to examine the new endoscopic equipment purchased with BBK's BD50,000 donated money earlier in 2005.
The new device is an advanced surgical endoscope for the Hospital, a medical device for examining the interior of a patient's body, diagnosing the ailment and performing endoscopic surgeries as necessary. It consists of two basic parts: A tubular probe fitted with a tiny camera and bright light, which is inserted through a small incision; and a viewing screen, which magnifies the transmitted images of the body's internal structures. During surgery, the surgeon watches the screen while moving the tube of the endoscope through the surgical area.
Present at the presentation, Mr Hassaan Moh'd Borshaid, Senior Manager - Personnel Dept.
