Executive Flight Services records phenomenal 57% growth in 2005

Total flights handled during 2005 registered at 6216 compared to 3940 during last year. It is expected that in the year 2006, EFS will handle 8390 flights. In the month of May 2005 alone, EFS witness a 126% increase in flight movements as compared to last year.

HH Sheikh Ahmed bin Saeed Al Maktoum, President of the Department of Civil Aviation, Dubai and Chairman of Emirates Group, commented: "Dubai has grown tremendously as a business and a leisure hub. Executive Flight Services has shown tremendous growth as we are one of the very few in the region offering such specialized service. In the year 2006 we expect EFS to have around 35% increases in its growth as compared to 2005. This is mainly because not only do we provide a very high standard of service, but also because we host major events like Dubai Airshow."

The passenger services include providing VIP lounge facilities with an exclusive check in area for passengers, baggage handling, special crew briefing and rest rooms, limousine pick-ups, visa arrangements, hotel accommodation, a helicopter onward transfer to one of the city's top hotels and even organising a round of golf. The airport and aircraft services provided by the Executive Flight Services includes aircraft maintenance support, landing and over-flight permission, providing updated weather forecast, assistance in flight planning, quick turnaround of aircraft, cargo handling, catering and security.
