As a pre-event to the main championship, four ALDAR teams are participating in the Pro-Am Golf competition on January 18, alongside major players in the competition including Christian Di Marco, Paul Lawrie, Kenneth Ferrie and Anders Hansen.
The Championship itself will be played over four days from January 19-22 2006. It is fully sanctioned by the European Tour and will be one of the most prestigious international sporting events ever staged in Abu Dhabi. It is seen as a strategic first step in establishing Abu Dhabi as a top class international golfing and tourist destination.
