Etihad to buy five 777s

Etihad Airways has closed financing worth $450m to fund the purchase of five Boeing 777-300ER planes, according to the Emirates News Agency. National Bank of Abu Dhabi, Abu Dhabi Commercial Bank, First Gulf Bank and HSBC are mandated lead arrangers and Abu Dhabi Investment is a lead arranger. The first of aircraft is due to arrive toward the end of January.
