ADNH promotes UAE sports tourism

As part of its efforts to promote the UAE capital as an ideal location for sporting events, leading hospitality group Abu Dhabi National Hotels (ADNH) will be one of the main sponsors of Abu Dhabi Golf Championship taking place from January 19-22 at the Abu Dhabi Golf Club.

His Excellency Khalifa Nasser Bin Huwaileel Al Mansoori.

As part of the group's sponsorship, ADNH's catering division, ADNH Compass, will be providing full food and beverage catering services to the event, which is expected to attract 5,000 spectators daily. ADNH Compass provides catering services throughout the Middle East, operating some 200 contracts serving more than 100,000 meals a day.

His Excellency Khalifa Nasser Bin Huwaileel Al Mansoori, Chairman of ADNH, said:

"For years, ADNH has been associated with a number of top sport events such as the World Sand Golf Championship and the Sheikh Zayed World Karate Riyu-Jitsu Open Tournament. Both as an organiser and sponsor, we continue to explore more opportunities to showcase Abu Dhabi's great event facilities, and its position as an ideal destination for business and leisure."

The Abu Dhabi Golf Championship has attracted top international players including Miguel Angel Jimenez, Vijay Singh, Colin Montgomerie, Sergio Garcia, Thomas Bjorn, John Daly, Chris DiMarco and Ian Poulter playing for the USD2 million prize.

"I would like to thank all those involved in staging the event for their support, particularly the Abu Dhabi Tourism Authority headed by Sheikh Sultan bin Tahnoun Al Nahyan. I am sure the Abu Dhabi Golf Championship will give a great boost to Abu Dhabi tourism and help position the UAE capital as a world class sporting venue," added Al Mansoori.
