"The flexibility and ease of use of the new DR 3000 will attract mid-size hospitals, outpatient imaging centers and orthopaedic practices," said Mike Marsh, General Manager, Digital Capture Solutions, and Vice President, Eastman Kodak Company.
"Bringing the DR 3000 to Arab Health gives these practices the opportunity to offer their patients Kodak's high standard of digital medical image quality."
Like other KODAK DIRECTVIEW DR Systems, the DR 3000 platform will include:
• A single integrated operator console that will control all imaging and generator functions to expedite workflow and productivity;
• KODAK image processing software for optimal image quality; and
• The same user-friendly, touch-screen operator interface as other KODAK computed radiography and digital radiography systems, which can help increase productivity and decrease training time.
Kodak markets a broad portfolio of computed radiography and digital radiography systems that equips hospitals, outpatient imaging centers, orthopaedic practices and other healthcare providers with digital image capture for x-ray imaging studies. The latest additions to this wide portfolio will also be shown on the Kodak booth at Arab Health 2006, including the KODAK DIRECTVIEW CR975 System; the next-generation workflow leader, the new KODAK Point-of-Care CR 140 System; a mobile CR solution ideal for specialty applications, the new KODAK CMI 1000 printer; a high quality tabletop printer for almost all diagnostic applications and the very well known KODAK DRYVIEW 8900 Laser Imager; the world's only 100-megapixel dry medical imager.
In addition to the wide range of Digital Capture Solutions, Kodak will also launch at Arab Health 2006, their KODAK CARESTREAM Solutions — a complete image and information systems that enhance communication of patient data across the continuum of care. These solutions, which include KODAK CARESTREAM Radiology Solutions and KODAK CARESTREAM Information Management Solutions, are designed to improve care delivery, patient safety and efficiency while delivering cost savings for radiology departments, healthcare organizations and communities.
"We are pleased to bring our new selection of healthcare products to the Middle East at Arab Health 2006, using our expertise to enable the digital transformation of healthcare," said Rudy Van de Walle, General Manager Emerging Markets Region of Kodak's Health Group. "These new products are the result of the large investment we are making in healthcare and show our commitment to achieving better results with improvements in both quality and cost of patient care."
