Insulin resistance reversible

Insulin resistance, the cause of type-two diabetes, can be reversed if detected early enough and if patients are willing to undertake a radical change in lifestyle, according to Dr Maha Taysir Barakat, research director, Imperial College London Diabetes Centre in Abu Dhabi. The centre is a joint initiative between Mubadala Development Company and Imperial College London. It opens in June 2006.
