Xerox will be participating in Arab Health (stand CE97) for the first time to showcase a number of these proven solutions catering to the most common & immediate needs of the healthcare industry.

Visitors to the show will be able to experience first hand how Xerox hardware & software solutions can help healthcare providers to raise their service standards and significantly reduce their document-related costs. Some facts to consider, for every sixty minutes of skilled nursing care, nursing staff spend 30mins managing documents. More than 90% of a Medical Centre's communications is in the form of documents.

The Healthcare industry is an important and growing sector here in the Middle East, and one that is always looking at adopting innovative & effective technologies for treatment, prognosis & administration needs.

'We felt that it was the right time for us to take part in Arab Health this year because Xerox has experienced increasing demand for its solutions in this field,'

said Ayman Mattar, Regional Marketing Manager, Middle East, Xerox. 'I would bet that not many people associate Xerox with the medical profession, in fact, we have many years of experience in providing the Healthcare sector globally with cutting-edge technology helping to cut significant costs & enhance their workflow and operational standards.'

In conjunction with their Business Partner, aycan, a leading provider in plain paper imaging solutions for radiology, Xerox is bundling the aycan X-ray print solution with the Xerox WorkCentre M24. This bundle offers healthcare providers in the UAE (to be launched later in the year across the GCC) with a complete solution which allows them to print radiological and other medical images on plain paper at near film quality, saving them huge costs. This solution fits in seamlessly into both traditional and PACS workflows to provide a low-cost solution for sharing images with referral physicians.

The latest technologies for the Healthcare industry that are showcased on the Xerox stand at Arab Health are as follows:

• aycan (X-ray print solution) - is an electronic Patient Record System that allows healthcare professionals to store X-rays, CT, MRI and Ultrasounds Scans on plain paper at near film quality. This results in immediate reduction in costs (savings of over 75%) for the concerned center due less use of film, more effective work-flow and protects the environment.

• WorkCentre M24 - an A4/A3 digital printing multifunction solution which prints 13 pages per minute in colour (PPM). Bundling the WorkCentre M24 solution with the aycan x-ray print solution, enables the users to print Colour X-rays and scans directly on to the Xerox WorkCentre M24 providing excellent quality output and productivity while cutting costs.

• Xerox DocuShare - an affordable web-based document and content management application. It helps the healthcare professionals to electronically capture, store and distribute their practice's mission-critical documents, including patient records, forms, policies and other administrative documentation.
