National Bank of Dubai recognized as Best Foreign Exchange Bank in UAE

Recognized as the bank with a performance that is second-to-none, the National Bank of Dubai was recently presented the Best Foreign Exchange Bank Award for 2006 by Global Finance: The leading monthly financial magazine.

Competing with other banks throughout the UAE, the National Bank of Dubai was selected as this year's best financial institution, based on key criteria such as transaction volume, market share, scope of global coverage, customer service, competitive pricing and innovative technologies.

"Since the bank's inception over 40 years ago, we have aimed to provide our customers with the best range of products and services," said R. Douglas Dowie, CEO, National Bank of Dubai.

"This award is testament to our ongoing commitment and dedication to position NBD as the leading bank throughout the United Arab Emirates."


Dowie continued to express his gratitude, stating that the bank's success is a direct result of the close relation it has with its customers.

Award winners from 71 countries were selected based on input from several leading industry analysts, corporate executives and technology experts.
