"We're happy to join forces with Dubai Eye once more," said Chris James, Marketing Manager-Overseas Events, Reed Travel Exhibitions (RTE), which organizes the award-winning Arabian Travel Market, now in its 13th year. "Our 2006 partnership will allow not only the home audience to catch up with the latest breaking news and interviews but those inside the halls as well."
Dubai Eye has become recognized as the region's top broadcaster of major sporting and business events, providing four days of continuous coverage of the Dubai Desert Classic golf tournament and Dubai Rugby Seven's, 12 hours broadcasting of the Dubai World Cup, the world's richest horse race and on site broadcasting from Dubai 2005, the ninth international aerospace exhibition and Arabian Travel Market.
"After our experience over the past 12 months as Dubai's official broadcaster of major events, we want to extend the reach," according to Matt Pullen, Group Sales Director English Radio at Arabian Radio Network, Dubai Eye's holding company. "The best way to achieve this could be via blue-tooth like earpiece receivers for exhibitors to present to visitors so all can be kept constantly in touch."
The earpiece radios will allow visitors and exhibitors to hear interviews being conducted live on air, and catch the latest announcements from the ATM media centre.
"In the months running up to ATM 2006 Dubai Eye will also be broadcasting developments surrounding the show, including news of our expanded educational programme which will now span 12 seminars devoted to the hottest topics now impacting the travel and tourism industry both regionally and internationally,"
added James.
Arabian Travel Market is held under the patronage of His Highness General Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, the UAE Vice President, Prime Minister and Ruler of Dubai, and under the auspices of the Department of Tourism and Commerce Marketing, Government of Dubai.
