DCCI discuss the strategic inventory of basic food items

A special meeting was held at Dubai Chamber of Commerce and Industry to discuss the strategic inventory of basic food items.
The meeting discussed the ways of facing the crisis and emergencies in regards to basic food items through the cooperation between the involved authorities. A federal plan is to be shaped in order to face the crisis distributed to several government authorities and the Economy and Planning Ministry, who are in charge of strategic inventory of the basic food items.
The meeting discussed how the private sector is able to provide basic food items and the problems that might appear in result of the crises and the factors which might affect the food items availability, such as power, logistics and the availability of supplying sources inside & outside the country.
Al Mutaiwee thanked the ministry of economy and planning, the Federation of UAE Chambers of Commerce and Industry and the business groups for their cooperation, attendance and reaction with the discussed subject.
