Mike Bridge from the Dubai based organisers DSL Exhibitions said, 'From the Saturday morning when the show opened all 40 exhibitors were very busy with several stands actually running out of literature to hand out by Sunday morning. All the lifestyle and legal workshops were standing room only, and after nine months of planning we are now convinced that we have an excellent concept show to take the Dubai property industry around the world all together!'
Press coverage for the show and participants was very strong and several developers offered prizes of trips to Dubai which also gained good media exposure.
'Visitors to the show covered all age groups from young couples looking for a first time buy to retirees. Investors were also very much in evidence and all were keen to learn more about the legal aspects of buying in Dubai. Several of the exhibitors said that they were also asked about job opportunities, so next time we aim to include recruitment as part of the advice on offer', said Mike Bridge.
An array of Dubai developers and agents were showcasing their properties from City of Arabia, Dubai Sports City, 32 Group, IFA Hotels and Resorts and many more, all demonstrating their Dubai passion through their impressive stands.
Shazad Ali, Trident International Holdings comments, 'We had a tremendous amount of response specifically because it's the first dedicated show for Dubai property. The quality of people walking in has been amazing and as of Sunday morning we closed a couple of deals.'
Tammy Farha, Nakheel, 'It has been an honour for us to be part of this premier Dubai property show in London, showcasing all developers from Dubai. It has put us on a global platform to be the premier property developer in the UAE and Europe. We have had a great response on the stand, it's been a great show and we look forward to participating in future Dubai Property Shows.'
Sameer Ali, Eurostar Properties, 'The show has been fantastic. I never thought it would give us so much of a response. There have been so many people coming to our stand enquiring about our properties. It was a great success and many congratulations to the organisers.'
Sheila Gomez, Key to Dubai, 'This show has been one of the better shows we have been to because one it is specialised in Dubai property and second everyone who has come to our stand is either interested in Dubai or has been there. For us it is really good from the selling point of view to have a client who is already interested in the product. Overall it has been very organised and it was a pleasure to be there.'
Walter Heart, Better Homes, 'Well done to DSL Exhibitions, the show has been a great success with a staggering amount of visitors due to the excellent PR and advertising that the organisers have undertaken. We have been very busy at our stand and we will certainly support any future Dubai Property Show.'
Julie Bell, Property World Magazine, 'We ran out of magazines half way through the second day, so I think that speaks for itself really. The quality of people walking in and wanting to know about Dubai has been great as we have been able to speak to people about Dubai and give them our magazine. The show has been very popular and well attended. We are extremely please for DSL Exhibitions for providing this perfect set up.'
The Dubai Property Show will now visit Dublin on the 24th - 26th March at the RDS Irish International Exhibition and Convention Centre which is almost a complete sell out. Due to the success in London, DSL Exhibitions has announced today that a third show will take place at the prestigious International Conference Centre in Birmingham on the 10th - 11th June 2006.
