US security management system in Mid East launch at APTS ME

US-headquartered MAXxess Systems, a long-established market leader in traditional access control, will stage the regional launch of its cutting-edge EndPoint security management system at Airport, Port & Transport Security Middle East (APTS ME).

EndPoint from MAXxess Systems allows operators to effortlessly search and manage information from an unlimited number of sources on one screen eliminating to need to switch between multiple screens.

"EndPoint uses Visual Information Cells™ (VICs) to provide an effective integration of traditional and new security data sources," said Lee Copeland, Managing Director, EMEA, MAXxess Systems.

MAXxess is in the process of setting up a regional office in Dubai to tap into the lucrative Middle East market, which is currently investing billions of dollars worth of into infrastructure development.

"The Middle East is recognised as a region which continues to enjoy massive investment and development and is strategically very important to MAXxess - the reason we have decided to open an office here.

To be held at the Grand Hyatt Dubai from April 3 - 4, APTS ME conference and exhibition will bring together top global and regional security experts to discuss crucial topics affecting the aviation, maritime and transport sectors.

"MAXxess has returned to the exhibition to vie for a slice of the security products and services market, which assumes great significance especially in a market where multi-billion dollars worth of investments are made on a regular basis," said David Wood, Managing Director, International Business Events (IBE) Ltd., organisers of APTS ME.

APTS ME has introduced a Supply Chain Security conference in addition to its aviation and maritime events.

The new Supply Chain Security conference stream will discuss the Role of Customs in Enhancing Supply Chain Security. It will also hear case studies on Supply Chain Security in Europe - Using Future Technologies to Improve Transport and Logistics Security and The Effectiveness of C-TPAT (Customs Trade Partnership Against Terrorism) in Securing the Supply Chain.

APTS ME 2006 will be hosted by the Department of Civil Aviation, Government of Dubai and will be held under the patronage of His Highness Sheikh Ahmed bin Saeed Al Maktoum, President, Department of Civil Aviation, Dubai and Chairman, Emirates Group. HH Sheikh Ahmed will deliver a welcome address at the event.

The confex, this year, has the official support of the leading industry associations and government bodies including Bahrain International Airport and the Bahrain Ministry of Interior, Sharjah International Airport and Fujairah Airport.

Some of the key local and regional speakers at the event include Mohammed Thanir Al Kaabi, Acting Airport Director, Bahrain International Airport, Essa Abdulla Yateem, Director of Maritime Affairs at the Directorate General of Ports, Kingdom of Bahrain; and Khalid Al Mazroui, General Manager, Department of Civil Aviation, Fujairah Airport.
