"We're really pleased", says Robert C. Davies, Project Director of Victory Heights Golf and Residential Development LLC. "It's been a good event for us already." adds Mr Davies, "we haven't even had time to take stock of the whole thing - we've been so busy". Victory Heights, a private villa community at the heart of Dubai Sports City, is one of a number of companies exhibiting at the show who saw unprecedented activity on the first day.

"The first day was really good, lots of leads and lots of positive feedback." Says Lisa Harwood, Property Consultant, Dubai Waterfront Properties. "Last year we made many sales directly related to the interest gained at the event. This year looks to be the same. We are very happy."

Emma Cullen, Sales Manager, Better Homes Projects Sales & Marketing: "We had success last year, which is one of the reasons why we came this year. We've come back stronger in terms of the presentation of our stand this year and the benefits are already showing." Ms Cullen goes on to explain the success of the first day: "We did really well on our Dubai Lagoon stand and on our Cove stand. We sold a total of 21 properties yesterday - that's about Dhs 6,000,000 worth of business - a conservative figure." She adds: "We think that this afternoon should be a good one. Friday seems to be the best day at the event, when people have real time to look around and ask questions."

Over 1,500 visitors walked through the doors, which is an increase of 39% on last year's figure.

Home Owner India, even in it's first year, saw a large number of visitors wonder through its dedicated section. Aniruddha Karve, VP Marketing, DS Kulkarni Developers, based in Mumbai, India, said: "There was a steady stream of people coming in and by the afternoon the numbers were picking up. Most importantly, the event enables us to speak to interested parties, answer the questions and gain potential clients."
