Wood Working Middle East concludes at Expo Centre Sharjah

Wood Working Middle East, which concluded at Expo Centre Sharjah on January 24, 2006, had a substantial visitor presence from the GCC region.

The show, which made its debut this year, is a comprehensive trade platform for the region's wood working industry.

The maximum number of trade visitors who visited this year's show were from Saudi Arabia, Bahrain, and Oman, besides the UAE.

Visitors from Pakistan, India, Iran, and Italy also had significant presence.

The total number of visitors to the event was 3,934.

WoodWorking Middle East 06 showcased over 100 brands from 12 countries.
Displays included woodworking machinery, tools & equipment, consumables and furniture accessories. Manufacturers& traders displayed the entire range of veneers, plywood, laminates, glues, lacquers, fittings, accessories and supplies for woodworking machineries and consumables.

Exhibitors reported good business with 4 exhibitors reporting sale of 14 machines. Exhibitors appreciated the quality of visitors to the show given that most of them were directly related to the woodworking industry. Almost all exhibitors reported receiving serious enquiries with prospects of deals materializing in the near future.

The event had received extensive media coverage not only in the UAE but also in other GCC states.

WoodWorking Middle East was organized by Expo Centre Sharjah with the support of the Sharjah Chamber of Commerce and Industry (SCCI).
