Home Owner Dubai 2006 figures rise

1,470 visitors registered for the event plus 532 newly registering exhibitors. 3039 people registered in the first two days of the Home Owner Dubai exhibition.

Not only are local visitor numbers increasing at Home Owner Dubai, but so too the international visitors. Trevor Punt of Motivate Events, organisers of the exhibition, speaking on Radio 2, said: "In terms of scope of interest, we have about 20% of people coming in from the States and Europe. Also, Home Owner India is attracting non-resident Indians to the exhibition and those from the GCC states who are looking for new opportunities."

Day 2 also saw numerous exhibitors perform better than they expected. Robert C. Davies, Project Director of Victory Heights Golf and Residential Development LLC, said: "We've sold 65 properties". The first of the new Dubai Sports City development homes will be open in September 07 and cost between Dhs 1.3 million to Dhs 6.5 - 7 million. Mr Davies added: "In fact, pretty much all of our phase 1 has sold out, which we're absolutely amazed by. We've been busy from the start of the day to the end of the day, every day. We're very pleased."
