DCCI receives a Trade Delegation from Poland

They discussed ways of enhancing bilateral trade cooperation and boosting trade exchange between the two countries.
Al Mutaiwee welcomed the Polish delegation stressing the importance of boosting the trade ties between the UAE, Dubai in particular, and Poland through its commercial representative offices and business councils which all operate under the umbrella of the DCCI. He noted that the DCCI plays a key role in underlining the position of Dubai as a local, regional and international business hub through its contribution in enhancing trade responding to its future vision to play an active role in ensuring Dubai's competitiveness in the field of business.
He also highlighted the attractive incentives and facilities which the Dubai Government provides to foreign investors with the absence of all sorts of taxes or individual or institutional incomes. He noted that all these incentives have urged a large number of international companies to set up new businesses in Dubai and its related free zones.
"The DCCI invites all major Polish companies dealing with the business of services, tourism, imports and exports to establish new businesses in Dubai and its free zones either through direct investments or joint ventures due to its role in boosting the bilateral trade relations, as Dubai's non-oil foreign trade with Poland reached AED 270.2 million in 2004," said Al Mutaiwee.
He stressed the significance of setting up a Polish Business Council in Dubai like other 34 business councils which operate under the umbrella of the DCCI, due to the key role of these councils in activating business transactions among businessmen in both countries.
Al Mutaiwee pointed out that the DCCI is ready toe extend all sorts of help and cooperation with the Polish business community to set up business activities in the emirate, stressing the importance of signing the major economic agreements by both countries such as the agreement of avoiding double taxation which would help create a safe environment for investment in the UAE and Poland.
"Businessmen in our both countries should take advantage of the investment protection agreement signed by both parties in 1993 to help create more business and investment opportunities in the UAE and Poland," Al Mutaiwee added.
His Excellency Roman Chalaczkiewicz, Ambassador of Poland to the UAE, stressed his government's interest in enhancing the diplomatic and trade relations between the UAE and Poland, adding that this visit will open doors wide before the business communities in both countries to activate their bilateral ties.
"Poland is one of the European Union countries and it is planning to develop its trade relations with the neighboring countries through increasing the volume of foreign investments in Poland which reached US Dollar 86 billion during the last 15 years, and we are ready to activate economic cooperation with our trade partners in the UAE," said the Polish Ambassador.
His Excellency Henrky Judkowaik, Chairman of the Polish Chamber of Imports, Exports and Cooperation, appreciated the DCCI's effort in providing the chance for the Polish businessmen to discuss issues related to the development of bilateral trade relations with their counterparts in Dubai.
"Our Polish delegation includes businessmen and representatives of major Polish companies that deal with the fields of architecture, telecommunications, higher education, producing meat and cheese, real estate and manufacturing, with the aim to sign business deals and increase the volume of trade exchange between the two countries," said Mr. Judkowaik.
The members of the Polish trade delegation introduced themselves and their type of business inviting the investors and businessmen from Dubai to visit Poland and discuss the investment opportunities available in Poland.
