The 31st Session of Arab Health 2006, Expo and Conference, concluded at the Dubai International Exhibition Center with an extensive participation exceeding 2000 leading medical companies, firms, hospitals, and local, regional and international clinics.
The DCCI participated in this event for the first time highlighting the Chamber's leading role and the package of services it delivers to the business community in Dubai, promoting the registered members regionally and internationally, acquainting them with the most prominent and growing sector.
The DCCI through this participation aimed at shedding light on the facilities it provides to investors in Dubai. The Chamber also aimed at promoting Dubai as a tourist and economic destination, and trade center playing a key role conjugating the world with the promising markets in the Middle East, Indian subcontinent and Africa.
Among other vital targets the Chamber strived to reach was in promoting the Business Groups, particularly Drugs, Medical Items and Hospital Appliances Business Group. With regards to the extensive participation of the biggest companies in this event, which was expected to attract more than 30 thousand visitors, it constituted an excellent opportunity to promote this group, which had been established by the DCCI as part of 18 business groups in order to activate ties among the Chamber's members and following up on their affairs, proposals, recommendations in the organization of their commercial, industrial, service and professional sectors, and ways to developing them; as well as the obstacles these sectors encounter and how they are suggested to remove. The DCCI plays a key role in liaising the business groups with authorities and competent authorities in and out of the UAE. The Chamber also holds joint meetings among the Business Groups to activate the ways of cooperation between different economic sectors.
The Chamber's pavilion received a sizeable response from visitors including CEOs, directors of the foreign companies specialized in the drugs, medical and hospital appliances manufacturing who are interested in embarking on enterprises and companies in Dubai thanks to the strategic status Dubai enjoys and the economic growth it is witnessing in all trading sectors including this vital sector that plays a significant role in pushing forward the wheel of national economy.
This event was characterized by its leading role at the medical education level through the internationally recognized conferences it delivered to the Middle East, and provided administrators, medical experts, CEOs and decision makers with an opportunity to meet in order for them to accessing the latest developments in healthcare, exchanging ideas and visions, enhancing skills, striking deals, and announcing new projects and updates. This event caters to around $74 billion market.
