This award is another feather in Jaguar's cap as the new XK was awarded the Engineering and Technology Award at the prestigious Prince Michael International Road Safety Awards. It has been recognized for an all-new industry-leading feature - the pedestrian deployable bonnet which is designed to help mitigate the severity of injuries to pedestrians in the event of a collision with a car.

The global public debut of the new XK coupé took place at the Frankfurt Motor Show last year and the XK Convertible made its public debut at the NAIAS Detroit Motor Show in January, this year.

"This clearly emphasizes the excitement and eager anticipation that the public has for the new Jaguar sports car due to be launched in spring. The XK, with its unique features, seductive lines and driving pedigree has received a positive reaction world wide and we expect the same reaction in Bahrain as well,"

said Mr. Mark Gravener, General Manager of Mohammed Jalal & Sons.

The new XK arrives in Bahrain in May 2006 at Mohammed Jalal & Sons, the exclusive dealership of Jaguar in the kingdom, who are currently taking advanced orders for the model.
