Speaking of the event, Mr. Muralidharan, General Manager, Al-Futtaim Technologies said, "2005 was a great year for Toshiba and Al Futtaim Technologies in the UAE, where we not only met but exceeded our forecasted figures. This would not have happened if it wasn't for the continuous support received from our valued partners. The awards ceremony was a small gesture to thank them for their efforts."
The awards ceremony took place at Fairmont in Dubai. Carrefour was presented with the Platinum award for the highest growth in sales of Toshiba Notebook computers during 2005. This was followed by Dubai Duty Free and Plug-ins Electronix which won the Gold and Silver award respectively. Under small and medium businesses category, Computronics Trading LLC won the Platinum award, whilst Computer Care was awarded the Gold followed by Advanced Business Computers which was awarded a Silver award to appreciation. Jumbo was presented with a Gold award under the new entrant category.
