TNT Express is the GCC's first express provider to achieve the OHSAS 18001 prestigious international occupational health and safety certification.
The company has three more high-level certifications planned for the year in Quality Management, Environmental Management and Social Accountability in a move to further improve its service levels.

"Customer service is at the heart of everything we do and achieving OHSAS 18001 accreditation highlights our commitment to health and safety. This certification increases worker confidence and consequently enhances service levels which benefit the end user and considered highly important,"

said Bryan Moulds, Country General Manager, TNT UAE.

The review conducted by Belgium-based certification body Vincotte International, involved rigorous auditing of TNT's systems including risk assessments, accident management as well as training and development.

"An increasing number of customers are beginning to require that their suppliers be certified to health and safety standards, "added Moulds.

"This helps assure them that their goods are being handled and delivered safely and securely."

TNT UAE has also achieved four stars from the British Safety Council, one of the world's leading occupational health, safety and environmental organisations.
