Saudi, Acer PC deal

Saudi Arabia will be manufacturing its own desktop PCs within twelve months, under an agreement between Advanced Electronics, the Saudi Economic Offset Program, and PC vendor Acer, reported Arab News. AEC CEO Ghassan Al-Shibl said it would produce 120,000 PCs in the first year of operation, at a cost of $58.7m.
