According to Ms Virginia Kern, Chairman of F&E, organisers of the Wellbeing Show,
"This is really excellent news for visitors. Free entrance to the exhibition and the activity stage area will attract many thousands of visitors and we're sure that they won't be disappointed with what's on show."
Almost 90 exhibitors are taking part displaying products as diverse as revolutionary fitness equipment, anti-ageing products, healing, cosmetic dentistry and hair care products. Weightloss systems, skin care, spa treatments, food supplements, image consultancy, yoga and aromatherapy are also on show. Life coaching techniques, ergonomically-designed furniture, training and even career opportunities in the wellness and health sectors are all part of the Wellbeing Show exhibition.
Companies taking part this year include Body Detox Middle East, with their Body Detox System - a new method that helps the body remove harmful acids, waste products and contaminants. Choices (otherwise known as Scelte) from Italy, will be exhibiting essential oils and crystals along with presenting Chakra life balancing and regression workshops. FM's Aromatherapy, a company established by renowned aromatherapist Dr. Ravi Ratan of India, is dedicated to manufacture 100 % natural skin, hair and health care products using a blend of Ayurvedic with Aromatherapy formulae.
Anti-ageing skin care products will be on show from Imedeen, brought to the Middle East by Ferrosan. Other international exhibitors include the UK's Magnetic, will be showing off the world's only truly magnetic, handmade Gold, Silver and Platinum therapy jewellery.
Master Foods, one of the world's leading manufacturers of food and grocery items, are also taking part. They will showcase a new web-based physical activity programme aimed at primary school children called "Al Haraka Baraka", along with a wealth information on nutrition and food related issues.
Another first-time, multi-national exhibitor to the Wellbeing Show is Novartis, the Swiss leader in the research and development of products that protect health and well-being. They will be exhibiting a number of products that are available in the UAE that restore, maintain or improve wellbeing.
Food is central to our lives and no more so than with the topic of "organic". Dubai's very own and much acclaimed Organic Foods & Cafe are taking part to promote a healthy lifestyle and their range of over 4,000 food items.
Continuing on the fitness theme, one of the latest innovations in the world, the revolutionary Power-Plate system, will also be on show. Power Plate has achieved immense popularity with numerous professional sports people, athletes, football clubs and a whole host of celebrities - and it's now at the Wellbeing Show.
Returning to the theme of nutrition, the region's only NGO to work towards providing better information about diet related issues is the Arab Centre for Nutrition. They are taking part, led by the region's leading authority Dr Abdulrahman Musaiger, who is also speaking during the Wellbeing Show's extensive seminar programme.
According to Ms Kern, one of the reason's why the Wellbeing Show has met with so much success is due to the support offered by the the UAE Ministry of Health. She commented that " His Excellency, Hamad Abdul Rahman Al Midfa, the UAE Minister of Health has expressed his personal support for the event for which we are very grateful. Also the input and guidance of our international patron, Teresa Hale (The Hale Clinic, London), has proven invaluable."
