Continuing medical education is one of the most effective ways that doctors and other healthcare professionals have for keeping up with the latest in disease and illness prevention, diagnosis, treatment and care. In particular, Welcare Learning Circle sessions are known for their lively and interactive discussions on the topics of each gathering.
"Welcare created this forum as part of its commitment to assisting the creation of an up-to-date healthcare environment in Dubai and bringing best practices through holistic care and evidence-based medicine. It is this commitment that provides distinction to the services we deliver to our patients,"
said Sunny Varkey, Chairman of the Varkey Group, parent company of Welcare World.
More than 270 doctors attended the 100th session, which featured Dr. Charles Ilsley, Director of Cardiology at Royal Brompton & Harefield Hospital, UK; Dr. Mark Mason, Cardiologist at Harefield Hospital, and Dr. Rajesh Raipancholia, Specialist Cardiologist, Welcare Hospital, presenting on developments in cardiac interventions, treatments and therapies.
Vidur Kaushik, CEO of Welcare World, said, "This session marks a major milestone for the Welcare Learning Circle and for Welcare. As we move forward, we will take this program to the next level as part of our mission to develop and manage holistic healthcare delivery systems in the UAE and internationally. This includes continually growing our roster of healthcare facilities to ensure a seamless treatment network for patients that extends from primary to tertiary care."
Welcare World currently operates two primary care clinics and a secondary- and tertiary-care hospital in Dubai. Over the next several years, the group plans to add two hospitals in Dubai Healthcare City to its roster and a number of new clinics in Dubai Healthcare City and across the region.
