Batelco delegation to attend Cairo ICT 2006

Batelco is to send a delegation to participate at Cairo ICT 2006 which will take place at the Cairo International Conference Centre from 5th to 8th February.

The delegation, headed by Abdulwahed Zainal, General Manager Business Division at Batelco, will be joined by representatives of Batelco Egypt Communications (S.A.E.), the Company's wholly-owned subsidiary in Egypt and ANIS CEO Yaqoob Al Awadhi.

ANIS (Arabian Network Information Services) is a leading regional Systems and Network Integrator that is subsidiary and is the vehicle through which Batelco approaches the ICT (Information & Communication Technology) market in Bahrain and the region.

The exhibition and forum, which is celebrating its 10th anniversary this year, is set to attract the region's top players and world leading companies in the fields of Telecommunications, Information Technology, Networking, Computing and Broadcast Technology.

More than 150 international and regional exhibitors are taking part in the event.
For the third year running, since the launch of Batelco Egypt Communications (S.A.E.) at ICT Cairo 2004, the delegation will aim to promote and position Batelco as the key regional provider of integrated communication solutions.

They will present a range of the Company's newest enhancements including the latest advancements in ICT, Global IPVPN (Internet Protocol Virtual Private Network) and their MPLS (Multi Protocol Label Switching) capabilities. Batelco's new Bahrain based Data Centre will also be unveiled to visitors at the event.

Cairo ICT 2006 is focusing its forum on a number of crucial topics including 3rd generation technology, ICT, satellite technology, VOIP (Voice over the Internet), electric signature legislation, cashless societies, call centres and storage issues.

Cairo ICT 2006 is organised by Tradefairs International.
