Indian schools reward all-rounders

Indian schools plan to award 20% of a student's marks for extracurricular activity, in an attempt to bring a holistic rather than academic approach to learning, reported Gulf News. If approved, the system would be introduced from Grades 1-10, starting in the 2006/07 academic year.
