Martin Weber, General Manager of the Oasis Beach Hotel, is delighted about the award:
"This is wonderful news - especially since the award has been a result of hundreds of candid reviews from guests who have stayed with us throughout 2005. We take our reputation as the friendliest hotel on the beach very seriously, and I am sure it is this effort combined with excellent service which has made the difference."
The online rave reviews for the Oasis Beach Hotel include comments such as "it totally exceeded my expectations", "excellent value for money" and "fantastic hotel". Comments on the great service and staff recurs often, evoking comments such as "what makes this hotel so special is the staff; nothing is too much trouble for them".
So far as awards and achievements go, 2005 was a good year for the Oasis Beach Hotel. In April the hotel's Oregano restaurant was voted one of the Top 3 European Speciality restaurants in Dubai at the annual What's On Awards, and in December Chef Somsak Janthakhon of the Singapura restaurant was selected as Dubai's Best Fusion Chef in the first 'Tiger Taste Sensation'. In addition to employing a record number of Emirati Nationals, Emirati chef Mousabbeh Tarish Al Kaabi was also awarded a silver medal at the Emirati Cuisine Competition earlier in 2005.
