Perfect Wedding Show to debut at Expo Centre Sharjah on Feb 21st

The Perfect Wedding Show, an event that will showcase every product and service that goes in to making a wedding complete, will begin at Expo Centre Sharjah on February 21, 2006.

For to be married couples who are in search of innovative products and ideas to make their wedding a memorable affair, the four-day show will be ideal to visit.

The Middle East wedding market is estimated at around USD 2 to 3 billion. In the UAE alone, it is estimated that 25,000 marriages take place annually. The industry within the country is growing at 20 per cent per annum.

The budget of an Emirati marriage is among the highest in the region.

"Over 70% of the Middle East population is under 20 years and a vast majority of it will enter in to wedlock in the coming years,"

said Mr. Saif Mohammed Al Midfa, Manager of Expo Marketing Services, Expo Centre Sharjah.

"As far as the UAE is concerned, a wedding is considered to be one of the most important social and cultural functions. Given the affluence, no expense is spared in this country to make it a memorable event. Something that a couple will cherish lifelong," he added.

"The Perfect Wedding Show is fully geared to meet the growing demands and needs of the present generation's to-be married couples in the region," said Mr. Saif Mohammed Al Midfa.

Among the products that will be displayed at the Perfect Wedding Show are wedding decoration items, fashion and jewellery wear including bridal wear, health and beauty items, and wedding stationery.

Services to be showcased at the event will cover catering, wedding venues, wedding entertainment including traditional dance troops, sound and light services, car and limousine rental, and photography and video, besides travel agencies, home furnishings and appliances, and banking services among others.

"With a mix of both traditional and modern products, the Perfect Wedding show will be an ideal event to visit for to be married Arab couples and their families who are keen to retain their traditions and culture while maintaining a modern image and feel for the wedding," said Ms. Taghreed Khallaf, B2C shows, Expo Centre Sharjah.

Besides exhibiting Arabic wedding products and services by international and local manufacturers and suppliers, the Perfect Wedding Show will host professionally choreographed daily fashion shows, projecting both contemporary and traditional styles in bridal and groom wear.

The Perfect Wedding Show is being organised by Expo Centre Sharjah with the support of the Sharjah Chamber of Commerce and Industry (SCCI).
