Toshiba appoints Hill & Knowlton for the Middle East

Toshiba's Computer Systems Division announced today that the company has appointed Hill & Knowlton to spearhead its public relations strategy for the Middle East region.

'Our leading position in the mobile computer market calls for the best in communication,' said Ahmed Khalil, Toshiba general manager for the Middle East and Africa. 'Hill & Knowlton has a strong track record in the region and its IT communications expertise will play a key role in further strengthening our position.'

Toshiba was the company that sparked off the mobile computing revolution when it introduced the first notebook in 1985. Headquartered in Neuss, Germany, the Computer Systems Division of Toshiba Europe GmbH is a wholly owned subsidiary of the Toshiba Corporation, the world's eighth-largest computer and electronics company.
