Princess Sumaya University for Technology receives CEO of the Institute for Information Industry in Taiwan

The Chief Executive Officer of the Institute for Information Industry in Taiwan Mr. Jyh-Sheng Ke recently paid a special visit to the Princess Sumaya University for Technology (PSUT).
Mr. Jyh-Sheng Ke, and Mr. Jinn-jong Lin were introduced in this meeting to the accomplishments made by the initative since its establishment date in 2002 and until the present date, and as head of the of the Connect Taiwan initiative, Mr. Jyh-Sheng Ke in return took this opportunity to brief attendees on the different projects that the Connect Taiwan initiative is currently implementing in Taiwan.
The guests also met PSUT's Chairman of Board of Trustees Her Royal Highness Princess Sumaya bint ElHassan and President of the University Professor Hisham Ghassib. Their discussions during the meeting revolved around the different possible means of cooperation between both PSUT and the Institute for Information Industry in Taiwan. Professor Ghassib, also briefed the guests on the university's history, its departments, and areas of expertise. In addition, he also informed them of the achievements that PSUT had accomplished over the recent years, both locally and regionally.
HRH Princess Sumaya used the occasion to state that she was extremely proud of the reputation that PSUT has built for itself, 'PSUT is recognized today as one of the leading universities in the area. The strong ties we form with several international and leading academic institutions enhance our success. We are very happy to see a reputable institution like the Institute for Information Industry in Taiwan take a genuine interest in forming ties with PSUT. Be assured that we, at PSUT, share an equal interest in forming mutual cooperative agreements between both parties. Through such agreements we hope to continually strengthen the educational programs we offer,' she said.
Mr. Jyh-Sheng Ke, impressed with PSUT, its staff, faculty, students, and campus, thanked both HRH Princess Sumaya and Professor Hisham Ghassib for their kind hospitality.
He expressed his sentiments by stating, 'In my opinion this university is the home for academic and social advancement. The revolutionary development it has made in the fields of technology will surely promise further growth for the IT sector in Jordan at large. PSUT's graduates will surely be the market leaders of the future; for they will graduate from this highly reputable learning institution armed with the tools they need to face a modern market filled with fierce competition.'
On a final note Mr. Jyh-Sheng Ke expressed his willingness to cooperate with PSUt's administration. He stated that such cooperation will provide a valuable exchange of ideas, and experiences that will in turn prove beneficial for both PSUT and the Institute for Information Industry in Taiwan.
Over the last few years PSUT established solid ties with the Government of Taiwan, whereby in 1992 the government of Taiwan sponsored the establishment of the faculty of engineering at PSUT. Mr. Jyh-Sheng Ke's visit to PSUT serves as further proof of the good ties that both parties share.
