Al- Futtaim Motors celebrates an outstanding 2005 and looks forward to the year ahead

Tony Barlow, the General Manager of Sales & Marketing added, "The increase in annual vehicle sales of over 25% was supported by the successful launch of 7 all new models, our continuing customer focus, the major promotional activities undertaken, and the on-going commitment, professionalism and dedication of all our employees."

2005 saw the launch of several exciting new additions to the Toyota range, including the flagship Avalon, the 8-seater Innova MPV, the Hiace and Hilux ranges, the Fortuner SUV and the youthful Yaris Hatchback. The Lexus stable also saw the addition of two new thoroughbred luxury sports sedans, the GS300 and GS430.

Tony Barlow said that, "The fact that we have brought to market seven new models in one year, increasing the choice for UAE motorists, is evidence of Toyota's continued commitment to providing exciting new vehicles for this region, and providing our customers with the benefits of the very latest technology, coupled with outstanding quality, reliability and affordability."

At the prestigious Autocar Middle East Award, the Toyota Fortuner won the 'Best Small SUV' category, and the Yaris Hatchback was nominated in the 'Best Small Car' category. In addition, Al-Futtaim Motors won the People's Choice Award for 'Best Dealership'.

It is a tremendous tribute to the hard work and teamwork of my teams in the all various divisions of Al- Futtaim Motors, who are always focused on delivering the highest standards of sales and after-sales service to our customers. As evidence of the Al- Futtaim Motors' customer commitment since being awarded the Toyota franchise for the UAE 50 years ago, the company has continually invested in new facilities, opening modern, state-of-the-art Sales Showrooms, Service and Parts facilities in every Emirate, to provide the best possible nationwide sales and aftersales service to its customers.

Most recently Al -Futtaim Motors opened one of the largest Toyota showrooms in the world at the prestigious Dubai Festival City. Colin Leitch added that, "We will soon be opening an equally impressive new Lexus showroom at the Dubai Festival City automotive park, and later in the year will open an all new Sales, Service and Parts facility in Ajman."

Looking forward to 2006, Al-Futtaim will be launching an astounding eight new models in the UAE. The launch of the all new RAV4 in January will be followed by the new Yaris Sedan. Tony Barlow stated that, "Building on our success with the xA and the Yaris Hatchback in meeting the needs of younger drivers for stylish and fun to drive cars, the stunning Yaris Sedan will enable us to provide even more choice to younger drivers in the UAE.'
