Stephane Garelli joins list of key speakers at Etisalat Academy’s HR conference

Organized by Etisalat Academy, the conference will be held on 21st and 22nd February 2006 at the Al Jawhara ballroom in Madinat Jumairah, Dubai.

Professor Stephane Garelli will feature among other leaders, managers, executives, supervisors and HR experts in the conference, which will also feature a group of training managers and coordinators from government and private sectors, including banking, transportation, hotel, and oil industries both within and outside the UAE.

Professor Garelli will speak about Human Resource Management related topics and the challenges that face the HR sector internationally.

Mr. Abdul Aziz Al Sawaleh, Executive Vice President– HR, Etisalat will speak about modern leadership, and David Creelman, CEO of Creelman Research in Canada, will speak about a number of studies conducted by them in the hiring and HR sector. Virender Kapoor, Director of Symbiosis Institute of Telecom Management in India will speak about ‘The importance of emotional competence for organizational success’.

Other topics slated to be discussed during the conference include the future of human resources, HR executive competency, professional and career development assessment, staff survey and evaluating the role of HR development as a key player in corporate success.

Speakers at the conference will talk about studying and analyzing the role of the HR departments in corporations, determining the role of HR in performance management, leadership culture, how IT can sustain the role of HR and many other related issues.

The conference aims to study the new practices and ideas in the science of HR, especially as the importance given to HR practices is increasing in organizations of all types and sizes.
