The Amman Marriott wins Jordan's leading hotel second year in a row

The World Travel Awards were established in 1993 to acknowledge, reward and celebrate the enormous achievements to be found in all sectors of the global travel industry. Candidates for nomination are based upon the previous year's voting. This is the world's most comprehensive travel awards ceremony, with trophies awarded in all areas of the industry. Voting is cast by travel agents in over 200 countries around the world. Regional geographical categories are broken down from the Whole World category into eight smaller areas - Africa, Asia/Pacific, Caribbean, Central & Latin America, Europe, Middle East, North America and South America.
Hundreds and thousands of votes each year are registered online at the official World Travel Awards website, with most of the leading travel internet sites offering additional online voting facilities.

This year's voting campaign reached a total of 160,000 travel professionals worldwide of which 80,000 were travel agents. Over 400,000 travel agents cast vote and 2,500,000 million individual category votes were registered online in 2004 showing a 25% increase from the previous year. The Gala Awards Ceremony took place on the 13th of November 2005 in London.

The hotel is particularly excited with this new addition as we are always looking for ways to make all our guests more comfortable," commented Vatche.

Marriott International is represented by two other hotels in Jordan - the newest Marriott property in Jordan, the Jordan Valley Marriott Resort & Spa and the Petra Marriott Hotel.
