The company is predicted to draw significant public attention at the Acer stand, a reflection of its ever increasing range of business products, which include a variety of handheld, notebook and desktop PCs, as well as an impressive array of networking, server, storage and other e-business solutions
Acer's year-on-year growth rate of 70 % is more than five times the average market growth and, according to senior company executives, is in direct response to Acer's ongoing commitment to flexibility, size and affordability, as well as its pledge to provide practical solutions for the business, government and education sectors.
'The Middle East is becoming increasingly more demanding in terms of its IT expectations and regional businesses, in compliance with enterprises across the globe, are reliant on the resolute, secure and efficient storage and transmission of information,' said Philip Ashkar, director sales and marketing, Acer Middle East and Africa (EMEA)
'With a 13% market share, our Middle East portfolio of business PCs is one of the largest and if current growth rates continue, Acer expects to achieve the number two position by the spring of this year,' continued Ashkar.
ICT 2006 will witness the Egyptian launch of Acer's latest commercial desktop range, the Veriton 800 series which, as Ashkar asserts is:
'A prime example of a product which reveals the company philosophy to provide the general public with advanced, high quality and aesthetically pleasing products at a reasonable price.'
The ultra-slim Veriton 2800 is a high-performance model which offers increased productivity and is equipped with the latest Intel Pentium 4 processors and a Intel 915G chipset.
'Designed to both look good and fill a minimal amount of space, the Veriton 2800 is ideally suited to the small office or home office (SOHO) environment and is thereby an example of Acer's commitment to its customers, providing them with the most efficient IT products at the best possible price,' added Ashkar.
Cairo ICT 2006 will run between the 5th and 8th of February at the Cairo International Convention Centre (CICC) and is set to attract many of the region's top players and the world's leaders in telecommunications, Information Technology, Networking, Computing, and Broadcast Technology. Already in its tenth year of success, ICT organizers are expecting a growth of 25% in both exhibitor and visitor numbers.
Organised by Tradefairs International, the exhibition is coming at a critical time for the Egyptian community who, under the leadership of President Hosni Mubarak, have witnessed the gradual liberalization of international gateways and fixed-line telephony over recent months.
