New GM provides vision for Novotel

Recently appointed General Manager, of Bahrain's Novotel Al Dana Resort, Mr Khalid Anib has expressed his vision for the hotel's future and outlined expansion plans in the light of a booming tourism market here in Bahrain.

Talking for the first time about his initial findings at the hotel since his arrival, (Mr Anib has spent some weeks assessing the hotel's achievements) he outlined the strong growth potential, which the hotel has, and Bahrain's unique tourism.

He said 'The hotel has surpassed all of its targets in the first 3 years of business and is now looking towards the future with high expectations. The unique style of the property and its excellent positioning as well as the selection of diverse cuisines has meant a resounding success for this captivating property.' Mr Anib also added that the he sees a pool of potential amongst the local population, which comprises of over 25% of the work force in the resort. He plans to develop local employees and hopes that the growth of the resort and of the ACCOR Company on the island will create more job opportunities for Bahrainis.

Mr Anib, who was formerly General Manager in one of ACCOR properties in Saudi Arabia has praised Bahrain's marketing initiative as a leading tourism destination and has watched the growth in tourism traffic to the island over the years.

'Upon arriving to take up the position of General Manager in Bahrain I was pleasantly surprised with the warmth of genuine hospitality which exuberates from this very friendly destination. I believe this reflects the warmth of the people and the strength of the country's commercial leadership,' said Mr Anib.

Novotel Al Dana Resort opened in Bahrain in 2003 and has become a very popular destination in Bahrain. This deluxe resort is uniquely placed close to the heart of the Manama's central business district of the Diplomatic Area. Only 5 minutes from the airport and 20 minutes from the road link to Saudi Arabia, the hotel features some of the best facilities and services, meeting the needs of both business and leisure travellers.
