Social and economic role of road transport industry to be debated at 30th World Road Transport Congress

A broad spectrum of topics relating to road transport industry and its future growth trends in addition to the vital social and economic contributions will be discussed by international experts and officials at the 30th World Congress of the International Road Transport Union (IRU) to be held at the Dubai International Convention and Exhibition Centre from March 14 to 16.

Globally-recognized speakers drawn from different parts of the world will be addressing the interactive sessions, offering insights into the latest developments, trends and innovations in the Road Transport.

Among the broad topics that will come up for discussions are: Road Transport - The Link to Mobility of People and Goods, The Need for Efficient Public-Private Interface, Adequate Infrastructure for Satisfying Growing Trade and Public Transport Systems to Mitigate Congestion.

Other subjects are Commercial Partnership for Production Systems and Supply Chains, Efficient and High-quality Mobility for Tourists and, Political Priority to Road Transport in Crisis Regions and Integrating Emerging Countries.

The experts will also address the issues of Sustainable Progress of Road Transport, Innovations to Save Oil for Road Transport and the Future of Road Transport.

Being hosted for the first time in the UAE, the theme of IRU Dubai is Road Transport: Vital Link to Progress.

The conference will help establish the crucial role played by road transport networks in social and economic development and economic protection.

More than 1700 delegates from 67 countries will attend 30 sessions that will be held over a period of three days.
