Expanded for 2006 to include a dedicated section for gas alongside the existing ones for electricity, power generation, lighting and new & renewable energy, the exhibition features a diverse range of companies from all around the world - the 800 exhibitors represent 51 nations, with the industry leaders from Europe and North America exhibiting and many new participants from countries including Brazil, Poland, Argentina and Bangladesh.

"Exhibitor reaction to date has been universally positive," said Sarah Woodbridge, Exhibition Director, Middle East Electricity. "One common theme highlighted by the majority of exhibitors that we have talked to is that while the visitor numbers are higher than ever before, their overall high quality has been maintained - this indicates that even more industry professionals regard Middle East Electricity as an essential visit, reinforcing its position as one of the world's key energy events."

The show, which runs through to Wednesday February 8th in Halls 1a, 1, 2, 3, 4 and 5 at Dubai International Exhibition Centre, is the largest energy event ever to be staged in the Middle East.
