DTCM's impressive promotion in Spain and Switzerland

The Dubai Stand at the Spanish International Travel and Tourism Fair (FITUR-2006), which was held from January 25 to 29, was visited by His Majesty Juan Carlos, King of Spain, and his wife. The UAE Ambassador to Spain,Mr. Sultan Al Nuaimi, led the officials who welcomed them.

Dubai's presence at the fair was boosted by the participation of 11 co-participants: Dubai Marine Beach Resort & Spa, Net Group of Companies, Knight Tours, Alpha Tours, Al Sondos Suites by Le Meridien/Dar Al Sondos, Bavaria Executive Suites Dubai, Emirates Airline, Arabian Adventures, Grand Hyatt Dubai, Golden Sands Hotel Apartments and Passage to Arabia.

The DTCM was represented by Saleh Al Geziry, Deputy Manager Overseas Promotions, at the Spanish Tourism Fair. This is the 13th year of DTCM's participation at the 26-year-old travel and tourism event.

Mr. Khalifa Ali Buamaim, DTCM Manager Overseas Promotions, said: "Participation at the Spanish fair was very fruitful since Spain is key market for us. DTCM is continuing in its endeavour to position Dubai as a leading leisure and tourist destination in foreign markets."

The DTCM also participated at the Swiss International Travel and Leisure Tourism Fair that was held in Switzerland from January 26-29. The Fespo Sports Holidays and Leisure Fair is the largest public holiday fair of its kind in Switzerland held at the MCH Messe Zurich exhibition centre.

This was the seventh year that the DTCM participated at the Swiss travel fair.
