Sharjah stayers, 10% up

Sharjah recorded a 10% increase in tourist numbers in 2005, with a total of 688,299 hotel guests recorded, according to figures from the Sharjah Commerce and Tourism Development Authority. Overall hotel occupancy hit 86% compared to 79% the year before, with larger hotels reporting 94%.
