DTCM signboard gives huge exposure to Dubai in Saudi Market

The Dubai Department of Tourism and Commerce Marketing (DTCM) has taken its overseas promotional campaign in the Arabian Gulf Cooperation Council (AGCC) countries a step further by launching an outdoor media campaign utilizing the largest bridge signboards in Saudi Arabia.
The signboard campaign is part of a sustained DTCM campaign in the AGCC countries to woo a large number of tourists for leisure tourism and business opportunities. The bridge board with its strategic location is expected to boost Dubai's image and visibility in the all-important AGCC market.
Approximately three million passengers pass through the Jeddah International Airport every year.
The AGCC countries are key source markets for Dubai's booming tourism industry with a large number of tourists and traders visiting Dubai throughout the year. The number of Dubai hotel visitors from Saudi Arabia, totaled at 527,033 between January-September 2005. In 2004, the number of Saudi visitors increased by a substantial seven per cent when compared to the previous year.
"The message and artwork of the DTCM signboard will be changed periodically reflecting what Dubai has to offer for tourists at different seasons like the trend-setting shopping festivals : Dubai Shopping Festival and Dubai Summer Surprises," said DTCM Manager Media and Advertising, Mr. Ahmed Al Tunaiji.
The importance that DTCM attaches to the Saudi market is evident from the fact that it has two overseas representative offices in Riyadh and Jeddah.
There are three bridge boards on the road that leading to the International airport in Jeddah and this is the first time that a tourist destination has utilized such a prime position.
