'There is a growing demand in the Gulf region for secure identity management in the enterprise. Organizations have realized the need to extend access to sensitive corporate resources to an ever-growing number of employees, partners, suppliers and customers.

'Effectively managing this increasing number of users is a challenge in itself and, the responsibility for deploying and managing identities on these systems is spread across the company, challenging the enterprise to keep identity data consistent. It is very important for organizations to manage who, or what application, has access to what parts of your business, how it is being used, and what you can do to make this access deeper and better,' says Vinay Akhil, Country Manager, Novell Middle East.

Novell recently did a Road show in Manama, Bahrain in November 2005, which was welcomed with tremendous response. Bahrain, a potential region has a rational approach towards technology growth. Hence Bahrain has made significant progress in securing its position as the location of choice for major projects on e-Government and Financial sectors in the Middle East region.
