Among Ford's 110 Worldwide Direct Market Operations (WDMO) markets, Bahrain was recognised in all the categories evaluated.
WDMO dealerships were asked to demonstrate activities implemented in 2005 that successfully improved customer satisfaction at their dealerships. Over 95 dealers were challenged to demonstrate how successfully their parts division functions, how well they can invigorate their showrooms with point-of-sale material, and how creative their advertising can be.
Almoayyed Motors won first place in the service category for 2005 Customer Satisfaction Best Practices Contest. The dealership won this award for creating a daily computerised 'live' appointment schedule, enabling each customer walking into the showroom to know the status of their appointment immediately; the schedule is updated every hour.
The system focuses on reducing customer waiting time and complaints, minimising customer no-shows, and it helps to accommodate walk-in customers. All award entries were judged by a sales and service panel of WDMO employees.
For 2005, the Almoayyed Motors Service Workshop also achieved a 95 per cent Part Fill Rate, a score that measures the percentage of parts delivered from stock when first requested. A rate of 95 per cent and above means that parts availability reflects normal Service Workshop requirements and avoids unnecessary repair visits. It also helps ensure jobs are completed on time by minimising 'idle time' spent waiting for parts.
'We are delighted with the commitment, proactivity and enthusiasm demonstrated by Almoayyed Motors,' said George Goddu, Regional Customer Service director, Ford Middle East & Sub Saharan Africa. 'These awards demonstrate Almoayyed's outstanding performance and the management's enthusiasm to deliver world-class service for customers.'
As part of the launch of the Genuine Ford Parts & Service 2006 Marketing Promotion Merchandising Library Kit, WDMO dealers were asked to email pictures of their showrooms before and after displaying point-of-sale material provided to them.
All dealerships were also asked to submit their best 'Parts and Service' ads, which were evaluated for creativity and intelligence. Almoayyed Motors was a winning dealership in both these evaluations undertaken worldwide.
'On behalf of everyone here at Almoayyed Motors, I'd like to say that we are proud to be recognised at this level. I would like to acknowledge the relentless efforts of our team to bring the highest levels of service and satisfaction to our customers in Bahrain,' said Venkatesh Goud, General Manager, Almoayyed Motors.
'Our success in standing out amongst all the Ford WDMO dealers is proof of our confidence in our products and services. We now have the challenge and responsibility to keep the momentum going in order to further enhance our services and maintain our leadership,' concluded Goud.
