- PRESS RELEASE
The organisers of Messe Frankfurt are delighted to confirm that Hometech 2006, Dubai World Trade Centre, 14th - 16th May 2006, has increased close to 50% since last year.
The UAE is continuously developing; it is guaranteed that this growth will be sustained within the future. Property development is huge the three palms are costing in excess of US$11 Billion along with the World project costing over US$5 Billion. This situation is replicated throughout the Gulf area; examples include Bahrain's Durrat Island and Two Seas projects, and the Pearl in Qatar. Tourism is another notable area, where growth is immense. There are plans to build a further 200 hotels throughout the Gulf area. Dubai International Airport handles over 20 million passengers, where as Abu Dhabi over 5 million.
Hometech's Exhibition Manager, Melissa O"Gorman comments, "When we go home or go to a hotel we all crave convenience, labour and time saving gadgets to help us relax and enjoy our free time. Hometech satisfies this demand, and this year's event promises to bring stylish, high end, exciting and groundbreaking products to buyers".
Featuring strongly at this years show is "Home Entertainment". "What is more relaxing after a hectic stressful week than bringing that cinematic experience home" says O'Gorman. There seems to be no limits when it comes to plasma screens, PDP television and LCDs. Every home requires several types of electronics from the kitchen to the living room, the reception rooms onto the bedroom and most residences now have an office as more and more people work from home. Every dealer of consumer electronics and home gadgets are desperately trying to supply the demand that Dubai is under.
Major manufactures are investing a great deal of money to constantly bring to the market more updated and advance models. Hometech will be presenting some of the latest ranges available on the market. Already signed up is Al Hafez Group from the UAE, Akira, Hügel GmbH and Century all are first time exhibitors as well as previous participants, GE, Bosch, GMC, Better Life, Olympic and TCL.
Another first time exhibitor at this year's show is world leader in innovative vacuum cleaner technology, Dyson, the number one selling vacuum cleaner in the UK. Their range includes upright and cylinder vacuums. The Italian specialists in steam ironing systems Terramar and BMI Bertollo will be showing their latest products, as will Palson Espana who have an interesting range of blenders, grills, toasters, vacuums and hairdryers.
Hometech does not stop there - on show will be the latest collection of high end fridge's, freezers, ovens and cookers from Fresh Electric, the Kriazi Group and General Electric.
As well as all the latest hot items on show, there are activities taking place throughout, Teka, specialists in built in appliances and induction cooking hobs, will have 3 cooking points throughout the show. Other areas featured are home intelligence and home gymnasiums.
