David who is of Scottish origin has been working in the hospitality industry for over 12 years gaining international experience by working in a variety of regions including Thailand, Singapore, Philippine, Indonesia, Asia & Australia.

Previous to working with InterContinental Hotels Group, Traynor worked with an American based Marketing Hospitality Co. as Asia Pacific Area Director of Sales and Marketing for five years joining Marriott International Hotels as Director of Sales and Marketing in 1999 based within the Asia / Pacific Region. Group Director of Sales and Marketing with a boutique Hotel Company followed and in February 2005 he was asked to be part of InterContinental Citystars hotel team.
