Speaking at the Press Conference to announce the sponsors for the event, Hussain Lootah, CEO of Dubai Media Inc. said, "Dubai is one of the fastest growing cities in the world today with a thriving media sector. Awareness about the rapid rise of Dubai is reaching the farthest corners of the globe. Hence the theme 'Dubai 2006: Challenges of Change' could not but be more appropriate."
He added,
"The rapid development of Dubai as the global media hub is due in part to the efforts of bodies such as the IAA which promote the exchange of new ideas in the media and marketing fields."
"Dubai TV supports this objective as it is in line with our spirit and strategy," Hussain Lootah pointed out.
The CEO of Dubai Media Inc. wished the International Advertising Association success and hoped for new breakthroughs with enhanced dialogue and cooperation through the World Advertising Congress in Dubai.
He concluded, "On our side we hope to learn more about the experiences of others from around the globe and benefit from this exciting meeting of minds."
Dubai 2006, is scheduled for March 20-23, 2006 and will take place at the Dubai International Convention Centre. It will investigate advertising's role in the media and redefine benchmarks of creativity in a marketplace where attitudes and preferences are changing fast.
The IAA World Congress is held once in two years and the 39th edition was held in Beijing on September 7-10, 2004, with a theme of 'Breakthrough - Into the Future.'
