Saudi to up oil despite US pledge

Saudi Arabia will maintain plans to expand oil production despite US President Bush's call for America to cut reliance on Middle East oil by 75% within 20 years. Saudi's ambassador to the US, Prince Turki Al Faisal told a press briefing we have already put into motion plans to increase our production to 12.5m bpd.
