China close to $100bn Iran deal

China and Iran are close to a deal to develop the Yadavaran oil and gas field, reported the Chinese finance magazine Caijing, with an agreement possible in March. China would buy 10m tonnes of LNG for 25 years from 2009, bringing the total value of the contract to around $100bn.
